Canariis Corporation’s test facility consists of a 24,000 gallon test tank equipped with permanently mounted flow sensors of various sizes, manual valves, automatic valves, Y-strainers, differential pressure sensors, KW sensors, pressure gauges, suction pressure simulation pumping equipment, and multiple suction connections. We can test systems up to approximately 1,000 HP and 15,000 gpm without special provisions.
Every system is tested at the Canariis Corporation factory. These tests occur at various stages of the manufacturing process.The control panel test includes verification of wiring, component operation and programming. After assembly, the packaged pumping system shall be hydrostatically tested at a pressure depending upon system parameters. Each pump on every system shall be individually tested for performance while at full speed. HVAC variable speed systems are tested for efficiency to optimize the pump sequencing.
Once the system performance is verified, every sequence, alarm and operation of the system is tested and verified to be functional prior to removal from the test tank. All of the Canariis NIST Traceable instrumentation is independently calibrated in accordance with NIST and Hydraulic Institute Standards.

Flow Meters: NIST Traceable flow meters are permanently mounted to the test tank per manufacturers and Hydraulic Institute Standards. Accuracy +/- 1%
Test Gauges: NIST Traceable pressure gauges to measure system suction & discharge pressures as well as pump differential pressures. Accuracy +/- .5%
Watt Meter: NIST Traceable Watt Meter for measurement of total system input power for calculation of system efficiencies and best-efficiency staging. Accuracy +/-.25%
Digital Multi-Meter: NIST Traceable Multi-Meter for measurement of system parameters. Accuracy varies with parameter measured.
Tachometer: NIST Traceable Tachometer to measure pump speed. +/- .025%
Differential Pressure Measurement: The Canariis Test Tank has the capability to measure differential pressure from (6) sensors with independent setpoints. Accuracy +/- .015%
