| SYSTEM INFORMATION: This quadruplex system is designed with (1) constant speed lead pump and (3) equal size variable speed lag pumps. The constant speed lead pump operates during low to no-flow periods. When the lead pump reaches a no-flow demand, as sensed by a flow switch, it will shut-down after charging the adjacent mounted hydro-pneumatic tank. As the demand increases above the lead pump capacity, it will shutdown and the variable speed pumps shall sequence on to maintain system demands. The speed of the lag pumps is controlled by a pid loop algorithm with feedback signals from (2) remote pressure sensors.
The system is fabricated on a structural steel skid with 300# 6" stainless steel manifolds, isolation ball valves, prv on the lead pump and check valves on the lag pumps. The system is completely fabricated, wired and tested at design conditions before shipment. The control panel has a separate UL 508 listing and the completed package is UL Listed as a packaged pumping system under Category QCZJ.
